President & CEO
Barry is an accomplished clinician executive, business entrepreneur, and association CEO. As founding CEO of two tech startups and CEO of two associations, he has successfully led transformational innovation in the nonprofit and business sectors of health care and digital platforms. Along with his role as President and CEO of Association Ventures, he is a Professor of Health Policy at Salus University, School of Public Health. Dr. Barresi is the former CEO of the American Optometric Association and the founding CEO of AOAExcel, Inc., the wholly-owned for-profit subsidiary of AOA devoted to providing financial and business services across the country.
Senior Director
Mike is an organizational change expert, innovation consultant and design thinking facilitator. His ability to bring together people with different opinions and perspectives and enable them to identify entirely new solutions to their challenges, is one strength that has allowed his clients to achieve transformational change. His experience applying appreciative inquiry, design thinking and other collaborative tools, coupled with a client base across a variety of industries, has provided him a unique lens for addressing organizational challenges and generating energy for change. Mike is a faculty member of Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies and the American Management Association where he teaches programs on design thinking and leading disruptive change. He enjoys cooking, hiking and laughing with his family. Mike lives with his wife, son and daughter in Bethesda, Maryland.

David is an accomplished Research and Association Management Executive with over 20 years of experience in private and public sector consulting for national and international brands and associations. His specific expertise is in industry research, the built environment, public policy, and social and environmental business practices. He helps associations and national brands make informed decisions by leading the collection, visualization, and analysis of data. David helps identify and understand trends in industries, membership, and markets, which he then helps leverage into customer growth and mission advancement. In essence, David turns data into knowledge, and knowledge into revenue.
Senior Research Analyst
Michelle has nearly a decade of experience working in various finance, accounting, and operations roles with nonprofits and small businesses in the U.S., the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia. She has worked with organizations addressing healthcare access, homelessness, and education. Michelle is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and holds a graduate certificate in Social Enterprise, Innovation & Entrepreneurship from the University of Denver. She lives in Seattle, Washington.
Senior Director, Finance
Steve most recently served as Interim CFO of AIGA, the oldest and largest professional design membership organization, where he drove a turnaround and helped return the organization to a financially viable concern. Prior to AIGA, Steve served as VP, Finance & Operations of the NKBA, the largest trade association in the kitchen and bath space. He oversaw finance, membership & certification operations, technology, and the association’s investments. Before joining the NKBA, Steve served as the CFO of a leading sample book manufacturer, guiding them through a merger. Prior to that Steve spent 24 years on Wall Street as a Managing Director in the equity division of Bear Stearns and as an Associate in the investment banking division of Smith Barney. Steve holds an MBA in Finance from Pace University and a BBA in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University. He enjoys playing golf and guitar. Steve lives in Denville NJ with his wife, daughter, and two sons.
Senior Director, Business Development
Jeff brings deep understanding of the healthcare space and past experience and success in growing and selling software companies. He sold the healthcare assets of Hilgraeve Inc to Compuware in 2008. He remained with Compuware's wholly owned subsidiary, Covisint for six years in a Director position helping them grow the healthcare segment of their business, creating an award-winning cloud based app store, acquiring other businesses, and helping Covisint IPO in 2013. Jeff sits on several Boards of Directors including CeutiCare, Payment Innovations, and Shine; and consults with several other software clients. Jeff earned his BSEE from Northwestern University. He also was awarded, licensed, and sold two software patents. He is a avid golfer, sailor, foodie, sports fan, and start-up junkie. He lives in Michigan with his wife and two Spinone Italianos.

He has successfully led numerous projects from the conceptual stage, turning those ideas into revenue generating solutions. Eric has 20+ years dedicated within the healthcare industry, including online applications and self-service health focused kiosk solutions. Eric strengths and attributes include strong work ethic, integrity, astute problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to achieve consensus and constant striving towards excellence.

Digital Strategist
Hasin is a digital strategist with over five years of experience in various technology-focused roles, including data & analytics, management consulting, and design strategy. Hasin has worked with bluechip corporations, non-profits, and governmental organizations across the globe with clients such as P&G, Campbell's Soup, Rwandan Governance Board, Kigali Genocide Memorial, The New School, etc. He is a graduate of Pace University's Lubin School of Business and also holds a master's degree in International Affairs from The New School. In his free time, Hasin enjoys studying geography, documentary photography, and traveling around the world.
